Learn to identify the signs and symptoms of an opiate overdose and how to properly treat an individual who is experiencing one. Participants will receive a Naloxone nasal spray kit. Ages 14 and up.
Franklin County Public Health will offer a 1-hour training during which you'll learn about substance use disorders and the different types of opioids. You'll understand how to identify signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose and how to administer naloxone. At the end of the training, participants will receive a naloxone kit to take with them. This program is offered in partnership with Franklin County Public Health, The Stand Project UA and the UA CARES program. For ages 14 and up.
