Remember being read to as a child? Coming in from the heat, lounging on the floor and coloring or playing with legos while listening to a good story? This summer, we're bringing you the adult version!
Writer Kate DiCamillo described what happens during adult storytimes this way: "You feel cocooned, almost. It’s kind of like everybody puts down their defenses and you’re together in the story.” In a world where you can accomplish most things without ever leaving your home, our adult storytimes offer a low-key way to emerge and re-connect. Each week different staff members will read one or two of their favorite short stories while you listen and relax. If you like to keep your hands busy while being read to, bring your knitting, your sketchbook, your legos, or choose something from the library's craft stash.
Our knowledgeable staff specialize in Adult, Youth, Reference, Media, Computer, and Outreach Services to meet the diverse needs of our patrons.
