Learn about the history of textiles and how raw materials like wool are turned into the clothing that we wear.
In this program, participants will touch many types of animal and plant fibers, learn the history of textiles, and see a whole sheep fleece laid out in front of them. They'll learn how we wash wool, how it's combed using carding combs and a flicker, and how it is transformed into yarn and thread with a spindle and a spinning wheel.
