Join Prof. Kate Shannon for a presentation on a curated collection of early daguerreotype, ambrotype, and tintype portraits from the OSU Rare Books & Manuscripts Library.

Prof. Shannon will explore the enduring emotional and historical significance of these cased portraits, examining themes of memory, preservation, and the evolving role of photographs in our modern lives. She’ll also bring a few example cased photographs to pass around.
