What's better than storytime at the library? Storytime with yoga! Open to families and caretakers with children ages 2-6. Licensed social worker & yoga instructor will lead this story-based yoga
The practice of yoga and the art of storytelling both tap into a child's innate creativity & curiosity about the worlds inside & around them. Join special guest Brianna Schiavoni - a licensed children's counselor, yoga & movement arts instructor - as we demo a very different sort of storytime program that aims to develop mind-body awareness in connection to community. This 45-minute class will include warm-up, breathing exercises, music & storytelling with the use of yoga poses & other foundational movement exercises. Participants will be treated to a final relaxation & books to support the use of movement at home with your child(ren) will be available for check-out. The program is suitable for all body types tall & small (ages 2-6). Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing & to bring a yoga mat to add to the circle if desired - no equipment is necessary
