Join Sheila M. Fagan, Outreach Coordinator for the Columbus Audubon, for an interactive lecture on birdwatching. Sheila will lead a birdwatching walk through Thompson Park after the presentation.
The spring migration will be well underway with the colorful neotropical songbirds making their way through Central Ohio, affording us the opportunity to observe some of the most beautiful songbirds on the planet. Advanced birders are welcome to skip the lecture and join us for the walk. Bring your binoculars and let's go birding in Upper Arlington! The presentation begins at 8:00 a.m. with the Thompson Park bird walk to follow at 9:00 a.m. The Thompson Park trail is wheelchair accessible and the birdwatching presentation and walk are open to curious birders of all ages!
Sheila M. Fagan Bio:
It all started with a single bird feeder and a gift of a field guide from a dear friend and has evolved into a lifelong hobby, and a life dedicated to conservation. Birds offer a barometer of environmental health and inspire one to look to the skies to learn more about these delicate and yet powerful creatures of the air. I am the Community Outreach Coordinator for Columbus Audubon and am devoted to teaching people about birds.
