This escape room program will immerse players in a world of manipulated media, social media bots, deepfakes and other forms of deception. Can your team find the truth before time runs out?
Developed by the Center for an Informed Public at the University of Washington, this fun game will sharpen your ability to spot fake news, junk science, and sketchy sources. After you (hopefully!) escape, we'll come together as a larger group to talk about the challenges of sorting fact from fiction.
Put together a team of 2 to 6 friends, then register as a group (only one person should register for the team).
The puzzles in this game were designed for adults, but would be suitable for high school students as well.
Our knowledgeable staff specialize in Adult, Youth, Reference, Media, Computer, and Outreach Services to meet the diverse needs of our patrons.
