Join Dr. Brad Lepper, from the Ohio History Connection and learn about The Great Hopewell Road, a set of parallel earthen walls built by the Hopewell people who lived in Ohio circa A.D. 1-  400

These earthen walls began at the monumental Newark Earthworks and ran southwest in a remarkably straight line. The road’s ultimate destination is a mystery, but it may have been a route of pilgrimage connecting the two grandest centers of the Hopewell world: the Newark Earthworks and the many Hopewell mounds and enclosures near Chillicothe-more than sixty miles away.
