Friends TheaterWhat is superintelligence, and who is shaping its future? Explore Jennifer Strong's Pulitzer Center-supported reporting and discuss the AI decisions that affect us all. No technical background needed.
A handful of companies are pursuing AI systems that could match or exceed human abilities. What does that mean for the rest of us? Drawing on excerpts from journalist Jennifer Strong's Pulitzer Center-supported reporting, The Race to Superintelligence, this session looks at the companies, ambitions, and claims driving the race. Together, we will consider privacy, trust, and the choices being made on the public's behalf, then discuss what role communities can play. No technical background needed. Free and open to all. Facilitated by Mariah Hagadone-Bedir, PhD. Supported by a Pulitzer Center microgrant.
