Zine Workshop
Saturday, March 09
2:00pm - 5:00pm
Tremont Road Branch
Meeting Room BEver wanted to self-publish? Ever wanted to create your own magazine? Then ZINE creation may be for you! Zines are self-published, DIY, small-run, publications about any weird, niche subject you want!
Join Ty Williams to learn a little about the history of zines, then try your hand at making your own zine! This program will run for 2 hours, but the space is booked for 3 so that attendees can hang around to keep working and socializing.
Your facilitator is Ty Williams (He/Them), a zinemaker, poet, essayist, working musician and educator. He has self-published three chapbooks and several zines. Ty teaches writing workshops at Thurber House, and makes black metal music as Manawydan for Liminal Dread Productions. His greatest zine achievement is making a zine for his wife this past Mother's Day.
