Jared Parko from the Ohio Department of Agriculture will provide insight into the numerous ways the department helps ensure food safety, protect farm animals and plant life, and support farmers.
Jared Parko currently serves as the Deputy Director of Laboratory Programs for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He started working for the Ohio Department of Agriculture in 2016. Before serving the state, he worked for Tillamook Creamery in Oregon, The University of California Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center in California, and Food Safety Net Services, a Food Safety Testing laboratory in Michigan, Texas & Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Master of Science in Food Safety from Michigan State University, and he currently resides in Upper Arlington with his family.
