Dr. Xia Ning is a tenured Professor at The Ohio State University, holding appointments in the Colleges of Engineering, Medicine, and Pharmacy. She was trained as a Computer Scientist, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). She received her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She also received a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Master's degree in Statistics, both from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; in addition, she holds an MBA degree from The Ohio State University. Ning spent two years, from 2012 to 2014, at NEC Labs America in New Jersey as a Research Staff member, working on AI/ML for system management research. From 2014 to 2018, Ning was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Computer and Information Science Department, School of Science, Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, where she was also an affiliated Research Scientist at the Center for Biomedical Informatics of Regenstrief. Ning joined OSU in 2018. She is currently the Lead of AI for Health at the OSU AI^(X) Hub.
