Youth Activity SpaceJoin us for a visit from Jordan Christian LeVan, author of four picture books about his experience with verbal apraxia.
Jordan Christian LeVan is an author, advocate, and public speaker. He graduated from Guilford College with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, focusing on mental health studies, and minored in General Biology. He is a children’s book author, specifically, the author of “Jordan’s World,” a nonfiction children's book series about his real-life experiences growing up with apraxia of speech. Jordan couldn’t speak until he was five, and professionals told his mom he would never speak on his own. Despite people’s doubts, he fought for his voice and uses his voice to advocate for others. In his free time, he enjoys writing, spending time with his dogs, and educating others that everybody is different, and that’s okay.
