Chrissy Marsey will be joining us to answer questions on how electricity works, where your responsibility begins, simple upgrades you can do, and electrical tools and equipment. She can also answer general home maintenance questions, weatherization tips, and tool questions and resources.

Central Ohio Women in the Trades is a local non-profit 501(c)3 organization that educates girls and women around Central Ohio about the importance of the building trades and inspires confidence and independence through hands-on workshops, information sessions and mentorship programs. We bring the skilled trades to an audience that may have not considered entering a career in the construction industry and offer a support system to those who wish to enter an apprenticeship. Central Ohio Women in the Trades not only wants to offer women a successful future in the trades, we want to make sure that each individual excels in her choices as well.
Central Ohio Women in the Trades was established in November 2017. Since then we have participated in job fairs, orchestrated hands-on workshops for women and girls, and have developed political and professional relationships around central Ohio to help bridge the gender gap in the DIY and skilled trades community. Our classes not only support the skilled trades, but also allow women to feel more confident and self-sufficient in the upkeep and maintenance of their homes.
