Meet local author Jim Ellison to discuss the history of pizza in UA and Central Ohio.
We'll talk about what Columbus style pizza is, as well as essential UA pizzerias and how they influenced the history of pizza in Columbus. Guests are welcome and encouraged to share their own local pizza memories (and memorabilia if they have it).
Author Jim Ellison is a Columbus native, and UA resident since 2019. He was a food focused freelance writer for 20+ years, including his book, published in 2020. An article he wrote about Columbus Style Pizza earned him an Ohio Society for Professional Journalism Award in 2022. When he is not eating pizza, he is a career coach and instructor at The Ohio State University.
The author will have a limited number of copies of Columbus Pizza, A Slice of History available for purchase and signing. Guests who bring their own copy are welcome to have theirs signed.
