Have a favorite piece of clothing that needs a repair?Bring it to this program. Learn how to fix it while engaging in meaningful conversations, or just listening (because introverts are welcome too!).
Experience the joy of restoring and reconnecting with Mend in Public, a traveling event that brings communities together to repair cherished items and extend their stories.
This calm, inspiring atmosphere promotes sustainability, mindfulness, and creativity, empowering individuals to embrace resourcefulness and keep items out of landfills. We provide all the tools and guidance needed, meeting communities where they are to spark lasting change.
You are encouraged to bring an item that needs to be fixed: think broken straps, holes in need of patching or darning, items that need to be hemmed, missing buttons, and other small fixes. We will also have a small stash of quality items that need repairs before being donated. If you don't have anything to fix, you can pick something from there to work on.
